Carson Wentz Solid in Preseason Debut
2 years agoWashington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz completed 10-of-13 passes for 74 yards with no turnovers in Saturday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. The newly acquired quarterback kept most passes close to the line of scrimmage while spreading targets around to multiple receivers. Before his substitution, Wentz led a 14-play, 82-yard drive to give the Commanders their first touchdown. While decision-making has been an issue for the former No.2 overall pick as of late, this performance provides some hope for what he has to offer in his seventh NFL season. Wentz is a borderline QB2 and is mainly an option in superflex league formats.
