Carter Kieboom May Not Start At 3B
4 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Carter Kieboom has not locked up the team's third base job this season as infielder Starlin Castro has started to take spring training reps at the position. Kieboom's struggles in his MLB career to date--a .267 wOBA and .284 xwOBA, for example--have made him a fringe player for fantasy purposes, and this news does not help. He's still going to be on rosters in dynasty leagues and maybe some quite deep keepers, but even a non-keeper format as deep as NL-only, he's not an absolute must-have at this exact moment. Even if he does get the Nats 3B job, he will be on very shaky ground.
