Carter Kieboom Resumes Throwing
3 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Carter Kieboom (elbow) has resumed throwing, while outfielder Ehire Adrianza (quadriceps) has begun running on an anti-gravity treadmill. Kieboom can't come off the injured list for another month, and it's still unclear if he'll be ready when he's eligible to return on June 7. The 24-year-old has yet to play in 2022 due to his injury, but when he's healthy enough to return, he figures to compete for playing time at third base with Maikel Franco. Adrianza suffered a left quadriceps strain in spring training on March 31 and was put on the 60-day injured list a few weeks ago, so he won't be able to return until early June. The 32-year-old will go on a minor league rehab assignment before that, and he'll represent bench depth for the Nats when he returns.
