4 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Carter Kieboom, despite a rough spring, still looks like the team's starting third baseman. Neither Starlin Castro nor Luis Garcia have received repetitions at third base, and neither general manager Mike Rizzo nor manager Dave Martinez have indicated Kieboom's job is in jeopardy. Kieboom has hit just .160/.222/.240 this spring, but more importantly his career line in real games is .181/.309/.232. That's in only 165 plate appearances, but nonetheless it is his prospect pedigree and minor league numbers (.287/.378/.469) that are keeping Kieboom afloat. Here in mid-March, he should be on rosters in dynasty leagues and NL-only formats, but give him the wait-and-see mode in most leagues.--Nathaniel Green
