6 years agoPittsburgh Penguins goalie Casey DeSmith allowed three goals on 26 shots during a 3-2 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks. DeSmith now has a 1-0-2 record with a 2.58 GAA and .922 SV% in 2018-19. Matt Murray (concussion) has dressed as the backup the past two games, which suggests that he is close to a return. While DeSmith has proven he is a capable goalie, it will be Murray's net once head coach Mike Sullivan feels confident in starting him.
