Cavan Biggio Breaks Out Of Slump
4 years agoAfter scuffling for much of the spring, Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Cavan Biggio broke out of his slump with a 2-for-2 day against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. He hit his second double of the spring and his first home run, a two-run shot. Entering today's game, Biggio was just 2-for-14 (.143). He's expected to be the club's everyday third baseman in 2021 but should move around the diamond and see time at second base and in the outfield. He produced a 124 wRC+ last season and is a beast in on-base fantasy leagues due to his strong walk rates (15.5% in 2020) and ability to hit more than 20 home runs in a full season.
