Cavan Biggio Dropped To Eighth In Friday's Lineup

4 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Cavan Biggio will bat eighth Friday against Rays left-hander Ryan Yarbrough, with the team choosing to stack right-handed hitters at the top of the order. The move comes as a surprise as each of Biggio’s past 12 games as a starter have come with him hitting in the leadoff spot, producing a 1.141 OPS with more walks (12) than strikeouts (10) in that span. But while Biggio has reached base well against southpaws in 2020, all six of his home runs have come against righties, with his slugging percentage dropping 245 points against LHP. He remains an excellent season-long asset, but DFS owners may choose to look elsewhere Friday.--Jesse Borek
