4 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Cavan Biggio belted his third homer of the season on Saturday, helping his team beat the Astros 8-4. He took Cristian Javier deep in the third inning for a two-run shot as he finished the game going 1-for-2 with two runs and a pair of walks. Biggio has spent the season splitting time between the outfield and third base which might be having an effect on his focus at the plate since he's learning new positions. He's slashing just .215/.327/.344 with a 29.5% K-rate, zero steals, and seven RBI through 28 games, not ideal numbers for where he was taken in drafts. There's still plenty of time for the 26-year-old to turn it around, but be wary he may not meet his counting stats projections by year's end.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
