3 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Cavan Biggio (elbow, neck/back) is being shut down from hitting for a week after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 UCL sprain in his left elbow. Biggio sustained the injury while diving for a ball during a game at Triple-A Buffalo, where he has been on a rehab assignment for neck and back injuries that sidelined him in early August. The 26-year-old was struggling at the plate prior to hitting the IL, slashing just .136/.220/.205 with six hits over his last 44 at-bats. Fantasy managers can move on from Biggio at this point if they haven't already.--Chelena Goldman
