Cedric Mullins Battled Crohn's Disease In 2021
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles All-Star outfielder Cedric Mullins revealed on Wednesday that he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease after undergoing colon surgery last offseason. Mullins was baseball's only 30-30 player last season, and he remarkably did it while battling the disease. The 27-year-old began experiencing symptoms in the spring of 2020, initially thinking he was suffering from food poisoning. Mullins excelled all of last season on his way to winning a Silver Slugger award and finishing 10th in American League MVP voting. Because of his big 2021 season for the O's, Mullins has become a top-30 fantasy player heading into the 2022 campaign.
