3 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Cesar Hernandez went 1-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Friday's victory versus the Chicago Cubs. Hernandez crushed his first homer as a member of the White Sox against Kyle Ryan to give the Pale Hose some insurance runs in the top of the eighth inning. Hernandez came over from the Indians on July 29 and has become their regular second baseman. The veteran has been off to a nice start with his new club and is hitting .320 with one home run and two RBI in his first 25 at-bats for the White Sox. For the season, Hernandez is hitting .237 with 19 home runs and 49 RBI. Hernandez should continue to be a solid contributor in all formats moving forward.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
