3 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Cesar Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's victory versus the Toronto Blue Jays. Hernandez took Hyun-Jin Ryu deep in the top of the second inning to tie the game 1-1 at the time. The veteran came over from the Cleveland Indians prior to the trade deadline, but has struggled with his new club and was recently demoted from the No. 2 spot in the batting order to the bottom half of the order. With the White Sox, Hernandez is hitting .221 with three home runs, five RBI and one stolen base in 95 at-bats. For the season, he is hitting .229 with 21 home runs, 52 RBI and one stolen base. Hernandez will help managers with power, but he hasn't offered much value outside of that.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
