Cesar Hernandez Launches 11th Homer
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a home run in a win against the Braves on Thursday. Hernandez took starter Julio Teheran deep to lead off the game and added an RBI single in the sixth. It was a much needed good night for Hernandez who is batting just .227 so far in September with a .788 OPS. Hernandez does have eight hits in his last six games and has batted leadoff in four of them so his value appears to be trending up late in the season. He's a good middle infield option but doesn't need to be owned in standard-sized mixed leagues.
