5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez will bat leadoff against Chris Paddack and the Padres Tuesday night. Hernandez had been a bottom of the order guy, but with Andrew McCutchen out for the year with an ACL tear, the switch-hitting infielder should see the bulk of the time atop a stacked Phillies lineup. Last season Hernandez batted leadoff in 144 of his 161 games played and scored 91 runs with 19 stolen bases. Hernandez is also one of the hottest hitters in baseball having just posted a .931 OPS in May. Hernandez is only 65 percent owned in Yahoo leagues but should be closer to universally owned, especially with eligibility at one of fantasy's weakest positions.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
