3 years agoChicago White Sox second baseman Cesar Hernandez will rest on Sunday versus the Kansas City Royals. Hernandez was acquired before the trade deadline, but has struggled in his short tenure with the White Sox. Hernandez is hitting .208 with three home runs and five RBI in 120 at-bats for the Pale Hose and overall is hitting .226 with 21 home runs and 52 RBI. Managers can feel confident swapping him out for someone doing better on the waiver wire. Infielder Danny Mendick will replace the veteran on Sunday and bat eighth versus Brady Singer.
