5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez has been on fire in the month of May posting a .349 batting average and a .993 OPS. On the season, Hernandez is making hard contact at a 34.1 percent rate, easily a career high and 10 percent higher than last season. As far as plate discipline goes, Hernandez is striking out at a 13.9 percent rate which is a career best and is still taking his walks as his on-base percentage sits at .362. Hernandez is somehow still available in 35 percent of Yahoo leagues which is hard to imagine given how weak second base is in fantasy.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
