4 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Cesar Valdez picked up the win in Tuesday's Game Two 7-6 win over the Mariners. Valdez came on in the seventh inning with no outs and the game tied. He allowed a leadoff single, but then retired the next three hitters with a strikeout. The O's were able to walk it off in the bottom of the seventh (doubleheader games only last seven innings), so he was credited with the win. The veteran has been a fantasy asset to this point, earning two wins and two saves with a 1.42 ERA and six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings of work. His career numbers are still a reason to doubt him, but Valdez could be valuable in fantasy roto leagues, at least for now.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
