Cethan Carter Catches Touchdown Saturday
2 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Cethan Carter hauled in his lone target for a four-yard touchdown during Saturday's preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 26-year-old has been quiet this offseason and faces an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster. A solid blocker, Carter played in 16 games last season, catching just two passes for 16 yards. He signed a three-year, $7.8 million deal ahead of 2021, but Miami could create $2.53 million in cap savings by simply releasing him. Such a move seems inevitable and would also free up $2.56 million in cap space for 2023.
