Chad Green Injured Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green (forearm) left the game early on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles with right forearm discomfort, according to the team. Green threw just 11 pitches before exiting the contest with a trainer, and he will be re-evaluated on Friday. The 30-year-old right-hander came into Thursday's affair with a 3.14 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, one save, five walks and 15 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings over 13 relief appearances for the Yankees. He has served in a middle-relief role alongside Michael King, Wandy Peralta and Miguel Castro in New York's bullpen. Check back on Friday, when we should have a better idea of how serious Green's forearm injury is.
