Chad Kuhl Can't Make It Through Fifth Inning
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chad Kuhl struck out five and surrendered four runs on six hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings against the San Diego Padres on Thursday. Although he was able to escape the loss, the right-hander's inconsistent ways continue. A popular streaming option on Thursday against one of the worst offenses in baseball, Kuhl's outing was particularly disappointing after he was strong in his previous two starts (13 innings, three runs, seven hits, 14 strikeouts). He'll look to get back on track on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds, but he remains hard for fantasy owners to trust, as his 4.53 ERA indicates.
