7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates pitcher Chad Kuhl was not sharp on Friday, giving up five runs (four earned) on 11 hits and a walk in a 7-2 loss to the Miami Marlins. The right-hander held the Marlins to only one run through four innings before allowing three in the fifth and another in the sixth. He struck out only two on the night. Luck hasn't exactly been on Kuhl's side to start the year, as he's allowed a batting average on balls in play of .426. Unless he strikes out more hitters, though, he doesn't bring much to the table for fantasy owners. He'll take on the Colorado Rockies at home in his next outing on Wednesday.--Matt Wilkes
