7 years agoOakland Athletics utility player Chad Pinder (knee) was activated from the disabled list on Monday and in a corresponding move, Franklin Barreto was sent down to Triple-A Nashville, according to Jane Lee of MLB.com. Pinder injured his knee while fielding a single to center field in a game against the Texas Rangers. Until he was injured, Pinder was hitting .308 in 13 at-bats with with a homer. Barreto got to sniff the big leagues but did not get a single at-bat. He will return to Triple-A -- where he was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI -- to get consistent at-bats and be ready for the next opportunity.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
