4 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman/outfielder Chad Pinder was placed on the paternity list prior to Tuesday’s contest against Texas. With Pinder needing to miss at least the club’s next three games, outfielder Seth Brown was recalled from the club’s alternate training site. Pinder has done an admirable job filling in as a utilityman this season, drawing considerable DFS attention when in the mix. But his lack of a path to playing time makes him a non-entity in season-long formats, while Brown also figures to fill the extra outfielder role.--Jesse Borek
