4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Chad Pinder (knee) has been placed on the injured list with a left knee sprain, according to Shayna Rubin of the Mercury News. Pinder exited Sunday's game in the first inning after injuring himself in the field. With Pinder out, rookie Ka'ai Tom is his likely replacement in the outfield. Tom is 0-for-6 to start his major league career, but he looked solid this spring as he slashed .310/.412/.552 with one home run and six RBI in 12 games. Tom is an interesting player to target in AL-only and deep-mixed leagues, as he has shown 15-homer, 15-steal potential in the minors.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
