7 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers have informed free-agent tight end Antonio Gates that they don't plan on re-signing him, according to a league source. The all-time leader in touchdown catches by a tight end will now be forced to finish off his Hall of Fame career somewhere else. It's clear that Gates is close to the end, though, after he had just 30 receptions for a career-low 316 yards and three scores in 2017. He could have some low-end fantasy value depending on where he lands if he wants to continue playing, but we wouldn't bet on it.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
