Chargers, Mike Williams Agree On Three-Year Extension
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers and wide receiver Mike Williams agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal that includes $40 million guaranteed and $28 million in Year 1 on Tuesday, according to a source. If the Bolts hadn't come to an extension with Williams, they would've surely placed the franchise tag on him by Tuesday's deadline. Williams broke out in 2021, especially in the first half of the season, to the tune of 76 catches (129 targets), 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games for the Bolts. The 27-year-old should only gain chemistry with impressive young quarterback Justin Herbert, making the two one of the best QB-WR tandems in the NFL. If Williams can be as good as he was in the first half of last season over a full campaign, he'll be a no-doubt WR1 in fantasy.
