Charlie Blackmon Goes Yard On Friday
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two walks in a 14-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Friday. Blackmon jacked his seventh homer of the season, a two-run blast, as part of the Rockies' nine-run fourth inning. The veteran outfielder has been struggling of late, batting just .200 over the last seven games, so perhaps this game will get him going. Overall, he's got a decent .272/.357/.397 batting line with seven home runs, 51 RBI, and two stolen bases on the season. The lack of power has been perplexing but he's been a decent outfield option in fantasy leagues this year. He's simply not the power/speed threat that he used to be but he's still worth rostering.
