3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI ground out in a 7-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Blackmon put the Rockies on the board in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI ground out. He then gave Colorado some breathing room with a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to extend the lead to 6-3. The veteran outfielder has now homered in back-to-back games and has hit three in the month of August. Overall, he owns a .269/.352/.402 batting line with nine home runs, 57 RBI, and two stolen bases over 386 at-bats.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
