Charlie Blackmon Falls Homer Short Of Cycle
5 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon was a home run short of the cycle on Thursday in the Rockies loss to the Dodgers. He went 3-for-5 with one run scored and two RBI on the night and was one out away from getting a sixth at-bat. Blackmon has done Blackmon things this season despite some time on the injured list. He's hitting a blistering .330/.375/.639 with 18 homers and two stolen bases. It's worth mentioning that over the past two weeks he's hit six homers with a .422 average. Some more stolen bases would be nice but the lack of running should keep him on the field more often and there's nothing to complain about with the way he's swinging it right now.
