Charlie Blackmon On The Bench Friday
2 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the San Francisco Giants. Blackmon will take a seat after leaving Thursday's game early against the St. Louis Cardinals with a hamstring injury that isn't believed to be serious. The 36-year-old could be right back in there as soon as Saturday. Randal Grichuk is starting in right field with Blackmon out, and he'll hit cleanup in the batting order against Giants left-hander Alex Wood. Grichuk is an intriguing DFS option on Friday. He's gone 16-for-42 (.381) with two home runs in five RBI in the last two weeks. Grichuk is also hitting .313 (41-for-131) with six of his 12 home runs against left-handers in 2022.
