Charlie Blackmon Reaches Twice and Scores On Tuesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Blackmon was just one of two Rockies to pick up multiple hits in the low-scoring affair. He singled and scored via a Brendan Rodgers double in the top of the fourth inning and picked up another single later in the contest. The 35-year-old is slashing an underwhelming .259/.359/.368 with four home runs and 38 RBI over 266 at-bats this season. There's a chance he picks things up in the second half but he's clearly on the decline in what has been a stellar career with the Rockies.
