Charlie Blackmon Sits Out Second Game Of Twin Bill Thursday
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon won't play in the second half of Thursday's doubleheader against the New York Mets. In the first half of the twin bill, Blackmon went 0-for-3 while batting in the cleanup spot and playing left field. Through his first 151 at-bats of the season, Blackmon currently sports a .686 OPS, which would be his worst output over a full year since his rookie season in 2011 when he only had 98 at-bats in 27 games. Better days should be coming as his .300 xBA and .448 xSLG are much better than his actual output. It could be a good time to make an offer for the lefty swinger.
