3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-5 win over the San Diego Padres on Monday. Blackmon extended the Rockies lead in the third inning with a two-run homer off Ryan Weathers. It was his only hit of the ball game and his eighth long ball of the year. It's been a quiet season for the veteran outfielder, who's shown a surprising lack of power. For the year, he's slashing .270/.353/.395 with eight home runs, 54 RBI, and two stolen bases across 382 at-bats. He's got a poor .204/.278/.347 batting line over the last 15 contests so hopefully this game will get him going.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
