4 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy posted two assists in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders as the B's returned from a COVID-19 break. They jumped to a 2-0 lead but couldn't hang on in the end. McAvoy had both of his helpers in the opening period. He put a stop to a seven-game point drought and now has 16 assists and 19 points for the campaign in 29 games. McAvoy has also recorded 53 shots, 52 blocks and 36 hits. The 23-year-old rearguard gets to finish the week with a pair of juicy matchups as Boston is set to take on Buffalo and New Jersey--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
