Charlie Morton Allows Four Runs Versus Yankees
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton didn't have his best outing of the season versus the New York Yankees on Tuesday. He went five innings, six hits allowed, four earned runs, zero walks, and nine strikeouts in the 5-4 loss. Surprisingly, this was the first time since June of 2019 that Morton has allowed more than one home run in a single game. Despite his less than stellar outing, Morton has a 3.06 ERA over his last nine starts. He'll get a tough matchup versus the Los Angeles Dodgers his next time out.
