4 years agoAtlanta Braves pitcher Charlie Morton failed to get out of the first inning during the club's 12-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night. The 37-year-old veteran hurler pitched just 2/3 of an inning and allowed four hits and two walks which led to six runs. The big blow against Morton was a two-out, three-run homer by Odubel Herrera — his first of the year. All of those runs were unearned, though, due to a passed ball by rookie catcher William Contreras. It's been a frustrating three-game stretch for Morton who has allowed 15 runs (nine earned) on 13 hits and seven walks in 11 1/3 innings. He can't be trusted in any fantasy format until he shows signs of turning things around.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
