4 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-handed pitcher Charlie Morton will return to the rotation Wednesday against the Yankees, but the likely 40-50-pitch count that he’ll have will likely keep him from being much of a fantasy option. Morton last appeared Aug. 9 against New York before being shut down with inflammation in his right shoulder. With at least one abbreviated start in his future, Morton faces a difficult path to high-level season-long ownership down the stretch; he can be safely avoided Wednesday at Yankee Stadium in all formats.--Jesse Borek
