Charvarius Ward Heading To 49ers
3 years agoFormer Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Charvarius Ward intends to sign a three-year deal worth up to $42 million, including $26.7 million guaranteed, with the San Francisco 49ers, according to his agency. Ward spent his first four seasons with the Chiefs and had 67 tackles (48 solo), two interceptions and 10 passes defensed in 13 regular season games (12 starts). The 25-year-old saw fewer overall defensive snaps for his second straight season, but he was more active and around the ball when he was healthy for KC's secondary. Ward will now take his talents to San Francisco after recording 222 total tackles (168 solo), three tackles for loss, three QB hits, four interceptions and 29 passes defensed in the last four years.
