7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson (illness) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list after missing his projected Saturday start against the Colorado Rockies. While there's no confirmation as to whether Anderson is actually sick, this makes a ton of sense from a strategic point of view for the Brewers. Anderson has not started since May 6, meaning his DL stint will be retroactive in three days rather than the full 10 if he was to start on Saturday. Due to the absurd amount of injuries the Brewers have been dealt to their rotation this year, they are actively having to find ways to get pitchers to make starts on adequate rest. In a corresponding move, Freddy Peralta was called up and will make his MLB debut for the Brewers at only 21 years old. Anderson should be added to the disabled list, or kept on the bench in all formats as his absence won't be very long.--Caden Inaba
