Chase Briscoe Finishes Third At Daytona On Sunday
3 years agoChase Briscoe mostly avoided the big wrecks during the Daytona 500 and put himself in a position to at least contend. He did a bit more than that as Briscoe finished in third place. All around the last lap carnage, the No. 14 car just missed winning by less than a tenth of a second (.091 seconds). Fords took seven of the first nine positions on Sunday as they seemed to have the speed, lift, and dynamics. Briscoe nearly rode the bump drafting of Bubba Wallace but when Ryan Blaney made his push early, that ended Briscoe's chances of a victory. Still, a third is nothing to sneeze at.
