Chase Claypool A TD-Dependent Flex
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool will open up his 2022 season with a road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. Claypool has a lot to prove in his third NFL season after a largely disappointing 2021 campaign. Of course, some of his struggles can be attributed to playing with a quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger who could barely push the ball downfield last year. Claypool will get a decent upgrade in 2022 as he will catch passes from quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Claypool's Week 1 outlook is dependent on the status of Diontae Johnson, who has been limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury. If Johnson plays, Claypool is a shaky flex option in fantasy. If Johnson is inactive, fantasy managers can bump Claypool up to WR3 status for Week 1.
