Chase Claypool Has More Confidence Heading Into Second Year
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool enters his second year in the NFL with more confidence after breaking out as a rookie. In what is bad news for NFL defenses, Claypool feels even more comfortable in the offense this year. He told reporters that he's starting to recognize defenses better and has a better grasp on the offense, stating that he is "Recognizing coverages, knowing your plays, knowing how to run a route, releases. I've always done route running and releases. That's kind of the two things that I've focused on. The game slows down." Claypool is listed as one of the team's three starting wide receivers on the initial camp depth chart. He is lined up to serve as a solid WR2 in fantasy this season.
