4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool (illness) was absent from Thursday's practice, putting his status for Sunday's game against Buffalo up in the air. Claypool's usage (44 percent of the team's offensive snaps) took a sharp downturn last week versus Washington, making him a risky play in Week 14 even without any illness concerns. Should Claypool ultimately be held out, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, James Washington, and Ray-Ray McCloud would all stand to benefit from an increase in targets, even while facing off against a solid Bills Defense.
