Chase Claypool Ruled Out This Weekend
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool (toe), who suffered a toe injury in the Week 9 win over the Chicago Bears on Monday night, missed practice for a second straight day on Friday and has been ruled out for Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. Claypool has 29 catches for 433 yards and a touchdown this year, but he hasn't really been able to take advantage since JuJu Smith-Schuster was ruled out for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old was listed as week-to-week, so there's a chance he might also miss Week 11. With Claypool out, both James Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud will take on bigger roles alongside No. 1 receiver Diontae Johnson. Running back Najee Harris could have a monster game against the winless Lions in this one.
