3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds (ankle) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Thursday, starting a 21-day window before he has to be activated for a game. We need to pay attention to practice reports to see how quickly Edmonds is progressing and when he figures to come back, but it would seem unlikely that he would make it back for this week. That means James Conner should have at least one more week as the unquestioned leader in the backfield. When Edmonds comes back, we know that Conner will give up the vast majority of the receiving work. Yet Conner has done well enough in Edmonds' absence that he should still be the early-down and red-zone back, which will help him retain RB2 value, while Edmonds will be a high-end RB3 or low-end RB2, depending on how much of the rushing work he is able to take back from Conner.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
