Chi Chi Gonzalez Gets A No-Decision On Sunday
4 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez was given a no-decision when he allowed four runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in an 8-4 loss to the Diamondbacks. Gonzalez allowed a slew of extra-base hits in this one, including a two-run shot off the bat of Pavin Smith. He fired 85 pitches, 52 for strikes, in the inefficient outing. He now owns a 4.38 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP over 24 2/3 innings (four starts) on the season. The 29-year-old righty will face the Cardinals in St. Louis on his next turn. There's just not enough upside here to stream him, though.
