Chiefs Cut DeAndre Baker Sunday
2 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs cut cornerback DeAndre Baker on Sunday, according to a league source. Baker, a former first-round pick of the New York Giants in 2019 out of the University of Georgia, has played in only 26 games in three NFL seasons due to injuries. He played in just eight games for the Chiefs last year, recording 16 tackles (13 solo) with one pass defensed. It didn't help the 24-year-old's cause for making the final roster this year after the Chiefs drafted three cornerbacks earlier this year. In his three years in the NFL, Baker has 82 tackles (65 solo), three tackles for loss, one sack and 10 passes defensed for the Giants and Chiefs.
