Chiefs Expect Orlando Brown Jr. To Stick Around
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that he expects impending free-agent offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. to be their left tackle moving forward. The Chiefs would likely slap the franchise tag on Brown first before attempting to sign him to a new deal to keep him in KC long term. The Chiefs traded two draft picks -- a second-rounder last year and a sixth-rounder in 2022 -- to acquire Brown from the Baltimore Ravens in order to beef up an offensive line that was dominated in last year's Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 25-year-old was a fixture on quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blind side in his first season in Kansas City, so the Chiefs will do everything in their power to keep him around.
