Chiefs Put Clyde Edwards-Helaire On PUP List
2 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs placed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (undisclosed) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday. However, The Athletic's Nate Taylor is reporting that Edwards-Helaire's situation is nothing major, and he could be taken off the list in the next few days. Still, it's not good for CEH, who has been a bust so far in the NFL since the Chiefs took him in the first round in 2020. The 23-year-old played in only 10 games in 2021 due to injuries and finished with 517 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 119 carries, adding 19 receptions for 129 yards and two TDs. There's a scenario where newcomer Ronald Jones usurps Edwards-Helaire for the starting job in KC in 2022, especially if Jones looks good in training camp. Although CEH could be practicing soon, his stock his falling and he should be considered more of a high-end RB3/flex option in fantasy drafts right now.
