6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chris Archer will begin serving his five-game suspension on Sunday for throwing at Cincinnati's Derek Dietrich. Archer had appealed the suspension to get one more turn through the rotation before serving the punishment. He went out and spun seven innings of one-run, four-hit ball while striking out nine and walking just two on Saturday against the Nationals. His next start is scheduled for April 21 at home against San Francisco.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
